Alex' Garden in October


Autumn season is the most beautiful season in Japan.
There are few flowers in Alex's Garden right now.
I would like to introduce my best favourit three plants,
eucalyptus, tree fern and jacaranda.
I want to also weave some autumn Japanese style beauties into this page.

I will be introducing 21 photographs.

The Jacaranda is still growing fast.



It is the entrance of my house.
The planter of blue Japanese style china was
enclosed from the vine of a mountain grape,
and a natural atmosphere was taken out.
Although there are some plants from early summer in the china pot,
I added some plants of a copper color leaf
like an Aeonium arboreum cv. Atropurpureum.
or a Purple foutain glass as a seasonal plant.







When the magazine reporter come to my garden to cover my gardening,
in this season,there is almost no flower in my garden.
I tried to design my garden with some color leaf plants like white tree,
Copper color albizia julibrissin Red hibiscus and Phormium tenax so on.




Japanese style Australian garden?
Japanese style garden is likely to revive now in Japan.
I took in "Beauty of Japan", such as granite, into my Aussie garden.
I love a crossing culture atmosphere of my garden.



A jacaranda, a eucalyptus, and a crape myrtle are
likely to cover all the sky of my garden.
It looks like a crossing culture sky.



I planted a small jacaranda tree this spring in my garden,
and it became a height of about 4m tree now.
It is my favorite scene that the spread of jacaranda-leaves seen from 2F veranda.
It is beautiful.




Jacaranda jungle.
It is first growing. It is just before becoming a jungle.
A tree is borne to about minus seven degree.
It is the first hibernation challenge this year.



It is not a koala but a eucalyptus.
It raises from a seed and is the 5th year.
There is a very good scent in a leaf.




It grew up into about 5m height in five years. It has many buds now.
Eucalyptus Sideroxylon Rosea has never has flowers in Japan.




Tree fern Dicksonia Anterntica.
I imported it from Australia and raised from the spore.
Highly recommended kind of fern in future Japan.

Blechnum gibbum
It is the family of tree fern.
It is a New Caledonia native fern.



Aspplenium nidus cv. Abis
English name is bird's fern nest.
It is a southern Japan and China native tree fern.
It is popular for a foliage plant.

It was budded with the spore of the imported fern.

Pteris nipponica
Japanese native fern.


Ferns in a shady place.
Saxifraga stolonifera and Pteris nipponica etc.



Cynara scolymus
The large leaves have a strong impact in a flower bed.



There are Australia bricks, garden stones、
Granites and Ophiopogon japonicus.
It is the aesthetics of crossing culture.
